One Corner, Two Ways
/First, Ben taught me how to make GIFs and my life may never be the same. Keep reading for some awesome GIF action.
Second, if you follow me on Instagram, you saw that in May I found this amazing mid-century chair at a garage sale for $20. It was in really great condition (especially the under-seat supports) but it didn't come with any cushions. I've seen some chairs like this on Craigslist for hundreds of dollars, and I was super happy to scoop it up. I only wish there had been two. :(
Those arms!
I looked and looked online for some ready-made cushions that would fit, all the while hoping that I wouldn't have to bite the bullet and have some custom made (mostly because I just would never be able to decide on a fabric!). Well thankfully, I was able to find an outdoor cushion on clearance at Target for $25. It was the kind with the seat and back attached to each other. It's not a perfect fit, but it works, and for less than $50, I am super happy with my new chair.
But where to put it?
I decided to play a happy game of One Corner, Two Ways. What? You've never played before? Seriously, I have SO MUCH FUN playing with home goodies to come up with new arrangements. I bet that's what you do while your children are napping. Right? ;)
So here we are. One corner, two ways—one kind of how it already was, and the other featuring my new-to-me chair.
And here are the still photos if you'd like a better look.
What do you think? Which corner gets your vote—do you like the mid-century loungey vibes or are you more in favor of the upright and classic chair? Inquiring minds must know.
And if you made it this far, here's a reward for you. Every decent stylist worth her weight in brass drawer pulls has her own assistant dressed like a pirate. Obviously.
Rahahaha, you guys are the best. Seriously. Thanks for reading! Are you inspired to rearrange any spots in your home? Do share, and don't forget to cast your corner vote.
